Tax Associate. Daily tasks: both UK and US tax compliance and advisory work. Daily interactions externally is always with clients on emails but face-to-face is limited). I help companies keep with their expatriate individuals' tax compliance.
Almost exam qualified for ATT now. I have learn how to write well-written email to clients. Lacking training outside areas of tax as team is too busy for me to sign up to anything the firm offer.
When I first joined, it was great. The facility for training at Bradenham is very well-rounded. However there is a major discrimination of pay for people of same level without giving constructive reason which has highly reduced my motivation in working.
Not at all anymore due to lack of bonus and incentive system. No pay rise after working over a year even though has been exam-qualified. Even people manager don't know when I will get a salary review.
Relatively organised but due to the work load in the office, sometimes us graduates are not able to take up all the trainings available in the firm for everyone.
Immense. GT hire Kaplan people to come and teach us in house so that is the best thing in my graduate programme so far. There are also revision periods and frequent internal exams.
A lot of support at all levels. The HR team is approachable and when I had to get Tier-2 visa they were very efficient with it. Attitude is always welcoming.
Definitely feel exploited after working for over a year without a payrise even though I have passed all my exams so far. The meal allowance for working overtime is £10 a night.
The team meet up for drinks after work and there are drinks celebration after all busy seasons. There are football tournaments every year and this year it is also hosted in Frankfurt.
Yes
Perhaps not in my team but as a firm overall, the training is very good and everyone is nice in general. The firm is small so they are willing to take in opinions.
Everyone is very down to earth which makes the application process a lot easier than I thought. During the video interview just stay calm and watch for timing.
