My Role is a trainee buyer. Currently my daily tasks are made up of managing administration, managing supplier relationships and range construction. I interact with various parts of the business and my suppliers.
I am currently working on a level 4 diploma in Business and proffesional administration which is aiding me in my job. Tesco also offer a variety of different training for skills needed on the job. Also people management skills are learnt with day to day interactions. Another skill i have learnt is negotiation teechniques.
It has met my expectation and is the correct job for me. I feel intergrated into the team well adding to my enjoyment.
I feel valued by Tesco through the involvement in projects by Tesco.
There is a large amount of training involved in the programme and also a lot of mentoring. The programme is well organised as it is split between on the job learning and classroom learning effectively.
There is a large amount of support given from various parts of the programme, with the likes of programme sponsors/ my manager and mentors.
I receive a large amount of support by my employer. They are always more than happy to help when i get stuck in a situation.
The salary/ package is ok. I am aware that other programmes with other companies pay more in some cases in relation to the job that is being done.
There is a varied amount of opportunities that exist in my business with after work fitness clubs and also social events at different parts of the year.
