I thoroughy enjoy the School Leaver Programme and would recommend this to anyone. I, like many individuals coming out of A Levels, had a clear goal of going to university, however seeing the advertisement of this opportunity completely changed my mind, and it has been the best decision i have ever made.
Within my business unit i feel like one of the team, I receive regular recognition and appreciation on different tasks, especially from my manager.
The school leaver programme as a whole is very well structured and organised. On starting the job there was a large induction which allowed everyone to gain a better understanding of Willis, aswell as the Insurance industry as a whole.
The training providers for the Willis School Leaver Programme are very hands on, ensuring there is always different opportunities for us to partcipate in. They also offer endless support if there is any issues or queries that I may have.
My manager and team as a whole are extremely supportive. On beginning the programme i was assigned a buddy and mentor to enhance my development within day to day tasks, which is a great help. I always feel like I am part of the team and im regularly encouraged to ask for assistance if i need it.
The salary is great and fits with my living costs well.
Willis provide opportunities not just in the workplace but outside too. Me and ten others are currently on a fundraising scheme to raise money for a local childrens hospice, which is very exciting. Willis also regularly hosts company events are always are getting involved within the local community.
