My job title is Business Administration Apprentice and I work in the Pensions Department. My daily tasks include logging the post that comes in every morning, responding to post, producing quotes and processing deaths. I also take phone calls from pensioners and answer their inquiries. I am responsible for making sure that I respond to all the post that is allocated to me, and to make sure I allocate the right post to the right person, because this becomes our work load.
This apprenticeship overall gives me the Business Administration Level 2 qualification once I have completed the course. I get internal training from my assessors who are currently helping me with my IT exam. I have began to develop my speech skills. This is used for when I am on the phone to pensioners, I am using the right words and phases. I have learnt a lot about Pensions and all the different schemes and basics. I have also learnt more about the business environment and what certain job roles do within an organisation.
I enjoy my programme a lot. My work load is perfect for me, as I always have the right amount of work to do, and I am never worrying about having too much work or not enough work. I am confident in the tasks that I complete. My department team are lovely to work with and made me feel very welcomed and I was able to settle down quickly and build friendships and work on my communication with colleagues.
I feel very valued by PSA Peugeot Citroen. I feel very appreciated and very valued by my manager, I get excellent feedback from him about my work and my overall progress since I have started. I have now been set two projects for the current year with people within my department, this makes me feel valued because they want me to participate.
My induction week was very well organised, we were given a schedule for the whole week, which included everything that we were doing and the duration of the event. I get a lot of support from my assessors. They have a quick turn around time on their emails, and are always happy to book meetings to help with our assessments.
The support I receive from my training provider is excellent. I am always welcome to book a meeting with my line manager for guidance, she is always supportive and can be very understanding. She always has great ideas on how to solve an issue and has a great attitude.
My manager supports me in everyway he can. He is always asking me if I need help and he is really supporting me with studying for my IT exam. When I need help, my manager is the first person to support me and to solve the issue, if I have a personal matter then I am always welcome to talk to him, as he is very support
My salary meets my costs very well. With my salary, I am able to pay my rent, pay my travel expenses to and from work, I am able to pay for driving lessons. I am able to pay for events, whether this being a festival with my friends, or going to dinner with my friends, my salary allows me to do this throughout the month.
Within the company you begin to build friendships all over the business. This opens up a huge variety of events and activities. These activities are social events, this is usually planned through email where colleagues are able to say if they want to attend or not. This can include going to dinner or going bowling. Company events and activities includes the Christmas Party, secret santa, having stalls come to the office where you are able to purchase items.

PSA Peugeot Citroen opens up opportunities for everyone. This company offers not only an apprenticeship and training, but it offers you an experience that you might not receive at another company.
I would advise that they should be confident through every stage of the application. They shouldn't doubt themselves, they should always believe that their answers are good enough, and shouldn't be shy about showing what you can do. During team activities, I would advise that you get involved as much as possible, try to have your say and try to show your ideas and think outside the box. If you have an idea say it.
