Accounting Relationship Manager We have month end targets of the client debt; throughout the month we will be working to get as many accounts paid as possible (this is money due from clients for premiums or fees). We do this by working closely with the business units, clients and associates all over the world.
I have learnt many new skills at my short time at Willis, not only my CII exams but, also computer skills including excel, word and powerpoint. Working at Willis has also allowed me to develop personal skills including my confidence and knowledge of the industry.
The programme is designed to ease you into working life which I found very helpful.
With my job you can see whether you hit month end targets which allows you to see how your job affects the company.
The programme was well organised when we first started, with mentors there for any help you may need really makes you feel at ease. Also, with challenges throughout the year it really gets us all working together as a team.
We all got a 'buddy' to teach us our jobs and a 'mentor' who is there if you ever want to talk to someone outside of your own department or if you have any queries etc.
There are lots of programmes and schemes that offer all associates support.
For a first job coming out of A-levels the salary exceeded my expectations.
There are a few opportunites outside of work, they may not be as advertised as they could be.

They look after their employees.
Be confident and research about the company. Employers like you to have an understanding and knowledge about the company whether it be its history, current affairs or the job role. Also, ask lots of questions in the interview, the employer likes to know your interested.
