The apprenticeship is in project management therefore I work in different placement carrying out 'project management' related tasks. These tasks vary depending on the placement
I've learnt many skills in project management - producing process instructions, working with spreadsheets, stakeholder management etc.
Not very much. I think because the placements are only 4 months long, you never feel as if you have an actual role in your placement and you find yourself doing more admin work, which often leaves you feeling unsatisfied and sometimes bored.
I feel valued as I'm being invested in. BAE seem to care a great deal about the satisfaction of employees.
Good in some areas and lacking in some areas. Some lack of communcation between the projcet management function and the early careers department. However other things such as college seem to be organised well.
Good support is privded
A lot
Very generous pay
Some placements offer opporutnities and college allows work outside of the office, however early careers seem relunctant to offer placements with other BAE sites which I feel would be useful.
Yes
It offers many opportunities to develop yourself, good pay and a versitile working environment - assuming the job is right for you.
Only apply if it's the right job for you. Research what area you want to work in, whether it be project management, finance, engineering etc. Prepare for you interviews and make sure you know what you're applying for so that you are well prepared for the interviews and sssessments.
