As a trainee role i would be given task that would either expand my knowledge of the company or add competency’s to my NVQ qualification which is another qualification the scheme allows you to complete.
I have gained skills suck as working in a team. i have also been able to manage my time better and be able to plan projects so i can meet deadlines.
I do enjoy my program. i find i am able to understand what a working inviroment is like. i do find there shouyld be more training courses that would support my scheme.
i feel that BAE treat me as if i was a real employee. i feel they understand the course that i am doing and they can support me throught the course.
i feel the program is very structured as this is the fist time in a while BAE subs has taken on trainees. I feel they have produced a path that i can follw to achieve the best out come for the future. they are able to ask me if i have any questions about the program.
i feel the training is good as there is online couses that can be done. but some courses which need to be done at anopther site can not been done as we are still trainees. we could do these course but for special ocasions.
i receive great support for everyone in the office and employer. i fell if there are any qusetions i need to aks i am able to ask anyone and they will tell me the answer or help me find someone that does know it.
i feel salary is a saticfactory pay but as i commute from a a far distance i find over half my salary goes towards my travel let alone the rest of my living costs. i do find living cost is lowwer compaired to the other trainees who live in the north. But compared to other schemes the pay package is good
i find there are multiple opportunities such as STEM net and stretch. there are not alot of company events but there are oppertunities to attend events out of the business such as exobitions.
Yes
As a trainee in this company you are able to have 6 months in a placement and then spend another 6 months in another placement. This means you are able to experience more than one areas in the company. This means you are able to expand the skills. You will also be able to use the work you have created to use as evidence towards your NVQ. BAE also support you thoughout the scheme.
I advise thatanyone that wishes to apply for this scheme should do research about the scheme and compare this scheme with other schemes from other companies. i would also suggest calling the company to get an even better understanding.
