My role as an apprentice is to learn how to maintain railway assets. Day to day I would take readings, fill out test forms and help fix faults
I have learned how to use test meters and how to install electrical equipment
I have enjoyed the majority of my apprenticeship. There were things I havent liked such as living with the Navy
I feel quite valued
Quite organised. Could have cut a lot of time off it
The instructors are very helpful
When I need it it's there
At the moment they meet my needs. If I was older or had children it's not enough
Not many
Yes
You can easily create a long career path for yourself
You don't have to be interested in the railway because there's so many different aspects
