My role as an apprentice at Rolls Royce day to day can include a wide vareity of jobs. I do multiple placements in different areas and pick up new skills and knowledge in each area to build up my NVQ portfolio.
I have developed old skills i had from previous college experience. I hvae also leanred many new fitting skills specifc to aero engines.
I really enjoy my programme at Rolls Royce i enjoy seeing different areas of the company and gaining a undertsanding of everyones jobs and roles that make the comopany work and seeing how its all linked and comes together.
I feel a valued member of Rolls Royce and am made to feel like part of a future plan with the company.
I would say my pragramme is very well structured from the first day you join there are clear plans and targets. Regualar reviews also help to see your progress and have targets personal to yourself.
I receive full support from my training provider i have an ADL who is there for suppoer with day to day questions or issues. Also assessors in placements support well with NVQ work.
The employer supports me with everything i need for work. Workwear and PPE are all availaible. Rolls Royce also offer and show a lot of useful infomration on the intranet.
My salary is very competive compared with other apprenticeships and helps me meet all my costs and have a good lifestyle.
Opportunities are also available outside of work like STEM training. Also working heritage work can also be done.
