I work in Defence Services so it is working with different Air forces around the world. i have worked in different sections such as Maintainance and Overhaul, Ground Support Equipment, Technical Publications and Repair.
i have developed many skills such as confidence and team work. i have/will be gaining qualifications such as a foundation degree in mechanical engineering and also a level 4 NVQ.
I enjoy working with other people while on placements, they have always been friendly and keen to help. the apprenticeship is very full on and involves hard work both in the office and at home.
most of the time i feel valued. on placements i have been given important tasks that will make a difference to the company, rather than pointless tasks.
The NVQ side is well structured. however, the foundation degree has been poorly run by the college we attend which hasmade things alot harder.
my Apprentice Development Leader is very helpful adn will always try and sort out any issues you may have.

rent in bristol is very expensive. the pay is enough to get by but it is hard to save money each month.
rolls-royce are often at air shows and events which we can volunteer for. this is a very rewarding part of the job.
