I am on the supply chain management Level 5 Apprenticeship. this involves all aspects of end to end procurement, specifically managing suppliers and new projects for the business. We have a lot of responsibility in the business, our rotations have given me a broad experience therefore creating valuable networks.
Yes, I am constantly being training and exposed to new areas. Along with all the ERP systems we use, a huge amount of training is given on other tools such as Excel, Project, MS access; (tools not standard and can be very complex)
This course has given me a holistic view of all areas within this company. along with meeting new people and undertaking challenging work every day is interesting. it only gets better with the new products we are developing.
Very valued. managers would rather have apprentices that have had experience rather than university grads who are fresh in. the apprentices are tailored, university, NVQ and placements result in an ideal candidate to take up a multitude of roles within the business.
Ours is the most structured programme within Rolls-Royce.
we have a huge support network that we can call upon if needed.

Our comparable salary is good for the level of skill we are at. we have a framework that we then join and a development structure is in place to progress after the apprenticeship.
The AGA is brilliant for event and the social aspect, especially for those who have re-located.
Yes
All of the above. It is hard to get in but I cannot sell this course enough. the amount of experience gained through this course allows transition inside the company, as well as anywhere in the industry with the Rolls-Royce Logo on your CV.
I would suggest being different, do something that the other haven't . the application process is long and therefore you need to be prepared. they arnt looking for quantum physics, they will be looking for likable, driven individuals that are prepared to learn. Genuine thought for choosing an apprenticeship needs to be considered and don't be afraid to understand your own personality and what works for you.
