Overall i have enjoyed my apprenticeship and feel like i have the support and encouragement needed to help me progress within the company. There are areas of the company that contain pockets of negative/lazy behavior but i have seen a marked improvement year and year as old mentalities die out and a more modern taken on the world is adopted
People within BAE are not treated the same but instead as individuals, which makes me feel more valued as managers and team leaders make an effort to support me and make me feel welcome. I have also been given responsibility to host special events and been nominated for awards, which make me feel like my effort has been recognized
Inductions are extremely thorough and provide a superb level of detail that is always available electronically to enable individuals to go back if uncertain. The training is second to none and the opportunities to further myself academically is amazing The support i have received in the past has been excellent and i feel like i have been treated as a full member of staff rather than an apprentice which is good mentoring system is excellent and numerous individuals are available for those that wish to have a mentor to develop themselves The program overall has seemed cumbersome which seems to be down to a transition to a new training center and a change in structure
Same as the support from employer. this is because the training team is part of the company just a different arm. I.e. shared services not MAI.
The company has been fantastic in helping me with any unexpected events i present, from family emergencies to the birth of my child. the guidance that i have received has been excellent and i have felt at all times that i have been welcomed and supported
Having come from full time employment i did take a reduction in wage however this is well cover the standard of living and i was also supplied with a travel allowance. On top of this i also get all company expenses paid which includes travel and qualificatiosn

There is also an extensive volunteering sector of the company that anyone can get involved with. the company also gives additional holidays in order to take part in fundraising for charities
Yes
The opportunities are vast. during the apprenticeship you have the chance to travel the world, meeting VIPs and get involved with critical projects. You are only limited by how much you want to put in
Be prepared, read up on the company and the products it produces, focusing on the sector you are applying for i.e. MAI maritime
