My current Job title is Local Marketing Administrator. I manage/oversee all of the budget management across my team of 10 marketing associates for the Local Co-op campaigns team here at Co-op food HQ . I also manage any stock ordering across my team for marketing events, working exceptionally closely with supplier/supply chain. I regularly manage marketing campaigns for Co-op Food Store Launches. This involves creating, proofing and approving artwork, media, and experiential event plans and managing relationships with 10 external marketing agencies.
I have recently completed LV 3 NVQ in business Marketing. I have also completed a 'Women in Marketing' event with a group of marketing lead women called 'Asprire' I have learnt life skills in this role such as how to adapt my behaviours according to the individual/situation I am in. I have learnt valuable time management skills and ways to organise my workload. I have learnt how to correctly proof emails and grammar as well as how to proof artwork and other marketing elements for mistakes.
I enjoyed my apprenticeship as I was supported especially by Lloyd Thomas (Talent Manager) to develop and grow within my role not just as an apprentice as a valued employee of the Co-op's. I was able to study as much as I wanted within reason which I felt was particularly generous as I am in a very fast paced team. The Co-op is a very supportive company especially of apprentices, I feel very much supported by all here.
I feel increasing valued by my manager as she has started to let me progress from the tasks I usually pick up she is now intrusting me with more creative projects to manage by myself. These consist of financial trials, creative artwork creation for a specific project/cause and so on.
My programme was pretty flexible as I have a very busy role I was able to tailor my programme around this with full support from Lloyd Thomas mentioned earlier and also from the Co-op in general.
I received less support from Learn direct that I originally thought as my assessor was changed 3 times and the original assessor signed me up to the incorrect apprentice which took weeks to rectify. I was a little let down by Learn Direct if I am being honest.
I receive support in abundance from Co-op and my manager/team here. I couldn't have asked for anything more from them especially not from Lloyd who despite my finishing the course still meets with me monthly to check everything is good with me! :)
To be honest I was paid £11,000 a year for a year and a half and have now gone onto minimum wage. I want to ask for a review of my pay as I feel that it should be a little more for the responabilities I have in my team.
I have had several opportunities to attend charity events, awards dinners and other conference's for business socialising. These consist of the CRTG Awards and Co-op Classic Gold Event.
