Currently I am a Rolls Royce Technical apprentice. Daily actitities can vary from college work to any work that has been set for me to complete in the office.
As I sarted this apprentiship straight after leaving school, I have been ale to develop a lot of my skills. I ave been provided with a miture of courses that have been set up by Rolls Royce to develop a range of different skills.
I enjoy the programme and it has gone above expectations. Collegues both in the LDC and the business are supportive and have been the key to me developing many of my skills.
Both at the LDC and in the business you have several discussions with managers, where you can raise any concerns that you may have. Feeling valued can vary dependant on your manager etc.
The structure of the programme is very organised, from when I started the scheme back in 2015 to present. Induction and an training was clearly stated.
Throughout my time at Rolls Royce I have always been given support in orer to complete any tasks. Most people have had a positive attitude to give me support.
In general I receive a lot of support from people both in the business and at the LDC. In general, most people have a posiive attitude to supporting me.
My salary covers all my costs including living, travel and general daily costs. However, I do not have to travel very far in ordr o get to my place of work.
Outside of work there are many oppurtunities. One includes the Aga, which is a roup of appretices that do various activities wihin a group. There are also a leisure/sports clubs.
Yes
I would recommend that a friend applied for this programme because of what you get out of it. The scheme allows an individual to develop many of heir skills for the future.
It is important that all individuals know that thye have the oppurtunity to get an apprenticeship, as many that I have spoken to in the past want to apply but do not bother as they think they do not have a chance.
