I am currently a Project Management Apprentice in my first year. On a daily basis I manage hours for people in my department, i update reports and send them out. I also manage and report on suspense hours in the system. I interact with the procurement engineers daily and also the other people in my team. i am responsible for updating weekly reports and also monthly review packs.
i have been on a few training courses since i started here including prendo project control simulation and ambassador training. i have also been visiting college one day a week and have passed my exam and have completed 3 written assignments. i am currently awaiting exam results for my APM qualification. i have developed many personal skills in the office including communication skills and how to act with different people. i have also developed my ICT skills since starting here.
i enjoy working in the team i am currently in, they were very welcoming and are extremely helpful to me. they dont look down on me as an apprentice and i still get important tasks to carry out. i enjoy the year group of my apprenticeship. i have made a few close friends from the scheme and met some lovely people. i enjoy my day to day role as its very interesting and i feel that the company are very good with apprentices.
My manager gives me regular feedback and it seems as though she really appreciates my work. i feel that i am given real tasks to do rather than just little un-important jobs. i feel valued at the company as if i werent in this role, someone else would have to be here to do it.
extremely. the scheme leaders are great and ensure that everything is well planned out. the induction days were very well structured and any training days are sufficiently planned for us. i receive lots of support from my line manager and the rest of the team.
College offer lots of great support including HELMS who help out with assignments and also the tutors are readily available to talk to about anything you may need. i enjoy going to college for the day on a wednesday.
my employer gives lots of support although it may not be direct. my manager helps me out alot. i do not yet have a mentor but am looking to start something in september.
Amazing! my salary is much more than i could have dreamed of. i still live at home with my parents so i give my mum some board and i also have a car so this pays for my petrol to work.
there are many opportunities to get involved in. i have recently trained to be an ambassador and so will be invited to more of these events soon in schools and colleges.

welcoming! good wage! friendly people everywhere! i am currently getting paid to work and my uni fee's are all paid for while my other friends are off at uni pay £9000 a year!
the interviewers are all just normal people and so if you show your personality they are sure to love you! don't try and be someone you're not because they will see right through it!
