arrive at collage and through the week partake in practical engineering tasks. on Mondays and Fridays it is class room based work and every other day is workshop based engineering tasks.
I have learnt a range of multiple skills through my apprenticeship which I can take advantage of when I enter the business and in the yard .
I am finding the apprenticeship very enjoyable and I think this is down to learning new things each day and improving my knowledge on my trade.
I think BAE systems values its apprentices massively as they provide the best training and if there is any problems they always have procedures to help.
the program is structured extremely well as every section of tasks are split into sections allowing the apprentice to complete the work on time and become less stressed.
all tasks are outlined to us this allows us to understand what needs to be done during the tasks if we find that we do not fully understand what we are doing we can always ask for help and the tutor will help us to understand the task better.
support is also provided from my employer if we need any help because of difficulties at work or at home there is always support provided from the employer.
I always have enough money to last the month and it pays for all of my bills and I still have some left over for other things I would like to buy.
there are many activities that you can take part in and when they become available they are outlined to there apprentices these tasks are usually sport based and this will allow the apprentices to stay active.
Yes
bae systems is a great company to work fro and they are incredibly supportive of there workers they provide different services that may bee needed to keep the apprentices health and these services are provided for free.
keep a consistent work ethic thought the year and complete all work to the best of your ability as quick as you can and if you do so you will be rewarded through the apprentice schemes.
