I am a Project Management Trainee. As part of my apprenticeship I move around the business. Every four months i will work with a new function to gain a better understanding of the business and what is required to achieve what we do. For example at the moment I am working with a planning team. This involves updating schedules.
I have learnt many skills during my short lived time in the company so far. For example my self-confidence has rocketed. By talking to a variety of different stakeholders and been put outside my comfort zone i really have developed massively.
Very much so. the fact we move around the business is very exciting and provides us with a new challenge everyday. The workload is good and challenging and i can apply theory i have learnt at college into real life scenarios.
Very. there is always support on offer no matter what. I am treated as an adult and not as an apprentice which i feel is a very rewarding feeling. they want to develop me and i want to be developed so the relationship works well.
Very well. the hierarchy of workers is clearly stated and everyone knows who they should talk to whenever an issue arises. The programme is very well organised and there is never really any problems with confusion.
Again a lot of support is given on a daily basis. Whenever you need help there is always someone willing to help and willing to develop your learning further.
I receive a vast amount of help from my employer. This really does boost your confidence and encourages you to learn as much as you can in the short space of time on the apprentice programme.
Well. the starting salary is a very competitive salary and the fact that it can be increased based on performance makes you feel as though you have a motivator behind you.
Yes. There are heaps of extra curricular activities to get involved in. this may be something like football or even an American style BBQ, the list goes on and on.
Yes
It is a very successful company with a fantastic future lined up. Work in here is challenging and enjoyable and no two days are the same making it a very rewarding experience.
Research the company and know what you are applying for. there are lots of roles so make sure you pick one that suits you best.
