Currently I spend all of my time at college completing assessments, however I should be on various placements during my time in the business.
I have learned countless practical skills in the workshops along with knowledge of health and safety, maths, electrical principles and mechanical principles.
I am satisfied with the programme and I am hopeful for when I go into the business and begin working on practical tasks at BAE systems, I have enjoyed the taster days at BAE systems too.
I feel as if my company values my opinion and feedback and constantly values my input. Surveys and feedback sheets are often handed around and I think that any questions I have can be answered.
My program is fairly well organised given the circumstances. Occasionally there are miscommunications with meetings and I think times could maybe be managed differently.
I am aware that if need I can receive support from my tutors if I require it, however I do not need any support at this moment in time as I am achieving my targets.
I do not currently require support for any of my subjects at the moment, however I know that I can contact my apprentice coordinator if I do need support.
I have low living costs as I live with my parents at the moment. The salary is sufficient for me to survive comfortably with all costs provided for.
There are opportunities available outside of work that are normally open to everyone that is interested such as apprentice rugby matches that have happened recently.
Yes
I think that BAE systems and apprenticeships in general are the best route for people in my position who are leaving school as it can provide skills and a long standing career.
