I am a Pressure, Control and Storage apprentice. I will eventually work within Operation and Maintain in National Grid Gas Distribution and this involves adjusting settings for pressure and carrying out taks to make sure equipment and assets are competent and working as they should.
I have leanrt a lot of hand skills during my apprenticeship through PEO and pipe bending activities. Also, here you will learn about body mehcanics on a manual handling course and how to carry out first aid, CPR etc in a first aid course. Every course allows you to learn something new or the very least develop a current skill.
I have really enjoyed it so far from the acadmeic perepstive as it allows you continously develop but also socially, meeting new people from all round the country.
Yes, very the company really looks after its employees with a variety of schemes and bonuses.
Very, from the start you receive a timetable for the programme and receive email updates of any changes on the programme and it lets you know well in advance.
Every trainer helps you to the best of their ability and will help with anything you need regarding the task or actually any peronsal issues. Every trainer makes it clear they will help you anyway they can, even with peronsal scenarios.
A lot, very similar to the question above and in other ways to help. Also, you receive a lot of equipment from the company that can help you carry out a variety of tasks.
