i am a pressure control & storage for national grid. this involves me going to high & low pressure gas sites situated all over east anglia. we change pressures on the systems and carry out maintenance and overhauls on these systems. apart from that this year i have spent a lot of time going to college and doing lots of hand skills training
developed my hand skills, also learnt more about my particular role
yes really enjoying it so far, wekk structured programme and learening a lot
its hard to say at such an early stage and we spend most of out time away this year. from what must of been spent on developing us the company must think quite highly of us!
yes seems well structured, get notified when there are any changes to the programme and our programme is already available for us to see for next year (timetable).
i feel you get enough support to help you through, everyone is aiming at getting you through your apprenticeship
yeah employer/colleagues have really helped with any queries or guidance i have needed in my first 7/8 months.
Yes the company are very good covering costs of travel and meals for us. as for the salary i think it is very well paid for an apprenticeship.
yeah there is opportunity to socialise with lots of facillites at eakring like pool, snooker, darts and golf. also in chester you have a pool, jacuzzi and a gym
