I am a supervisor in my role, this involves overseeing the Sales assistants work. I delegate tasks, set deadlines and am responsible for ensuring me and the team deliver good customer service.
I have learnt a lot about more about the processes that management complete, such as training members of staff, maintaining the stock and ensure everyone works to the best of their ability.
I enjoyed the programme a lot. I felt it covered all the topics I would need in order to progress into a management role, and it did so in an organised and easy to understand manner.
I feel very valued by Savers. Management have told me they appreciate all the work I do on a regular basis.
It was very well structured. It looks like a lot of work to do, but it feels a lot less as it was all split into sections. These sections are small with only a few tasks and some questions to complete. Very easy to do in your spare time.
My training provider has been very helpful and supportive. Early on she gave me contact details and told me to get in touch if I needed assistance, if I was stuck she would give me advice and word questions in a way I could understand.
My employer was also helpful and supportive. They would often sit with me and go through questions with me; they were more than happy to observe me completing tasks and wanted me to have a go at more.
My salary, although minimum wage, met my needs and costs. I am able to pay rent and groceries with little problems and have spare left over for hobbies and treats.
Yes
Savers is a friendly company, I get on with the area manager well. We all do our hardest work and support each other if one is struggling, there are also lots of training opportunities as well.
Expect to work very very hard! It is tiring work (maybe because we have stairs?) but it pays off because you can really see the difference it makes to the store. Make sure to get to know and be friendly with colleagues too.
