I'm an Engineering Draughtsman and I've just been offered a landing role at the site I work for. Responsibilities will be to control and manage the site drawing records. I work in an office with around 50 people and they are all very helpful and supportive should you require any assistance.
Level 3 BTEC in Mechanical Engineering, HND in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering machining techniques using lathes and milling machines. Potential to upgrade my HND to a BSc/BEng.
I really enjoy my day to day work and I'm made to feel a part of the team. I couldn't have asked anymore from an apprenticeship, it has allowed me to gain the technical knowledge required to do the job I wanted. GSK have also funded me and supported me throughout my studies.
Reviews and weekly meetings provide me with feedback and support on what I'm doing well and what I can improve on. I'm made to feel empowered and responsible for work that I produce.

The second year, you will focus more specifically in the trade you are interested in. Third and fourth years you will be given more responsibility so that you can prove you are ready to be offered a full time landing role at the end of the apprenticeship.
The training providers I've studied with do their best to provide you with a tailored course. Depending on which provider you are with will depend on the quality and support you receive.
The team I work with are hugely supportive and do their best to answer any issues I have in the workplace. Managers and HR representatives on-site are always available and approachable should any problems arise.
There are yearly reviews of salary and bonuses based on personal and site performance that can be claimed yearly. These
There are various networking events where you get the opportunity to bond with peers.
