Technical Trainee. I Model in 3D on computer programs and do CAD drawings. I have also been able to get involved with structural engineering tasks the more experienced I get.
I have developed a lot. This includes team work, communication, time management and working in a office environment, I have done a lot of internal training courses and attended talks. I have already achieved my NVQ and am nearly done with my BETC Level 3 in Civil Engineering,
At first it wasn't quite what I expected, however as time has gone on I have come to terms with this and have enjoyed my time here. working in a team and meeting new people has been fun and I enjoy the soacials we have.
I feel quite valued. However sometimes I think some people who don't know me underestimate my ability. It would also be nice to have some recognition.
Very well organised by work and has a good structure. However the college is a bit of a shambles.
There is support but I wouldn't necessarily take it from college but rather work.
There is a lot of support available if I need it.
I still live at home so my costs are not that high which is fortunate. However I think we get paid a low wage compared to some places and considering the abilities we have gained. this is particularly difficult as I live in London where a lot of things are expensive (like travel and living costs.)
There are, but sometimes the company can be bias.
Yes
It is a great place to work with a lot of opportunities to develop as a person as well as work wise.
Be yourself and tell them what you aspire for
