I'm a Cyber Security Apprentice for the Civil Service. This involves analyzing large data sets to identify malicious behaviour which could harm the department.
Yes I have learnt new skills. As part of the apprenticeship, we undertake a level 4 qualification. We also have in house training for the tools we use. I have also improved my presentation skills, communication skills and time-keeping skills.
I am thoroughly enjoying the apprenticeship since each day is different. All members of the Team have been extremely helpful.
I feel very valued in the Civil Service, I feel like i'm part of the team.
The programme is well organised, I know what I need to do to complete the apprenticeship.
The training is very supportive. I know who I need to contact if I need help with something.
My employer is also extremely supportive. I know who I can contact if I need help.
The salary meets my costs.
No there aren't many opportunities outside work.
