Signals Apprentice - At the minute it involves studying at the academy where i am completing my Btecs and NVQs.
Developed skills when it comes to working with electrical equipment especially when it comes to soldering, through the ILM course i have improved greatly when it comes to speaking in front of people
Very much as it interests me every day and is preparing me for joining my depot in a way which is making me feel excited. It met my expectations well and has exceeded them in some areas.
Good work is recognised when it is done, the system is an done in AAR and positive ones are handed out for exceedingly good work or outstanding personal achievement.
Very well organised, deadlines are always outlined clearly along with a strcutured programme. The induction from the academy was very useful as it eased me into the course and gave me a good idea of what i would be doing for the next 9 months.
More than enough for me to achieve the grades i need. Any issues with resubmissions can be resolved easily as the instrcutors are always on hand to give out advice and support when needed.
A good level of support is given from all. When it comes to queries about the next 2 years it is easy to communinicate with staff and they always respond quickly.
It is fine as food and board are covered so it is all your own money, which is good as i can buy the things i want and still have enough left over to save and pay for driving lessons.
After work there is always a full programme of things to do, this ranges from football to killer pool. Also at work there are events running all the time for the apprentices.
