I am generally in charge of all the admin tasks on the team: I draft letters/emails for managers to send to clients. I ensure documents are filed in the correct place. Sometimes I am used to edit documents which will be sent on to clients.
I have passed my first ATT exam in personal tax. I have also attended local learning groups and training sessions run by the firm.
I find the programme to be inflexible around my work.
I feel fairly valued and respected, despite being only 19.
I think there is a structure in place, but I am not sure how everything fits together. I do the work I am told to do but I am not updated with how I am doing as a whole.
I feel as though there is not enough time in the day to complete apprenticeship work on top of my normal tasks. However I get the impression that many people at work have great admiration for the programme and see it as a good thing.
I feel fully supported by my people manager. However I do not think the wider practise understand what the apprenticeship is.
I feel as though we do the same job as a graduate and should therefore be paid similar amouns. As I do not live in the centre of town it probably costs me a fifth of my wage to travel in and out each month.
