Day to day varies. I have a huge range of jobs that I am part of. These can be one off projects or more regular client based work, I feel I have great exposure to colleagues of all levels and the opportunity to learn form each of them.
The chance to study for a professional qualification has taught me many new skills including self study and motivation. The Job role as a whole has presented many new and exciting opportunities to learn new skills.
To the highest extent I look forward to work each day as it is both rewarding and enjoyable. I have built a true group of friends and feel part of a team. The apprenticeship has opened my eyes to the corperate world and made me want to progress as far as I possibly can.
At first I was wary of coming in at the bottom as i had heard the industry frowned upon those with an education below degree level. On the contrary my experience couldnt have been more pleasent. I feel valued and people are actively looking for an excuse to work with myself and those apprentices around me. As they realise we are capable of high quality work
This is the only area i feel let down. The Structure is there however the executoion can falter this is due to the "Trailblazer" being set up on an ongoing basis, slightly left in the lurch. However this is not entirely Aon's fault i think the relationship with the training provider is poor
Minimal! As this is a self learn course, there is a hands off approach. I feel the Skills company are a waste of time. Aon should devlop an in house training programme, would be much more efficient. The Skills company is providing no benefit to my scheme what so ever. They need to know the differnece between Full and part-time work...
Lots. Aon provide internal training geared towards my role level and are actively looking for ways to progress my career and knowledge. The buddy/ mentoring system works well and i think has been a benefit to not only myself but all the apprentices.
I feel my pay is a little low compared to other opportunities I have applied for. But I hope that in the future hard work and success will be reflected by pay (I'm told it is!!).
There aren't as many as we where lead to believe during our induction. The events that are run are great, I would love to see more opportunities to meet at events with clients and also other apprentices. As i think keeping abreast of my colleagues affairs is important
Yes
They are fully focused on internal development a quality that is imperative to those starting out their carreer
Be yourself never shy away from an opportunity. Work with as many people as possible and learn something from everyone. Open mindedness is Key!!
