I am a mechanical fitter however at the moment i am working with quality control which involves going onto the boat and checking components and assemblies are correct and are to the standard the drawings require.
Yes i have learnt lots of knowledge on setting bolts and how to achieve stretch. With quality control i have also gained lots of knowledge on standards such as workmanship standards.
I do enjoy my programme however sometimes i feel information isn't passed to me efficiently.
I wouldn't say valued. However i do well welcomed and not looked down on.
If i'm honest i think they're many improvements that can be made with the programme. Sometimes i ask question to do with pay rises etc and nobody ever gives me a straight answer but instead makes me ask someone else.
I recieve adequate support however the support is always by email instead of in person.
I recieve as much support as i need from BAE and i believe the support they offer is superb.
Excellent however pay rises are never on time and the reasons are never explained.
Yes plenty opportunities to get involved outside work such as charity events and charity days.
Yes
Very interesting place and the work is always different. The pay as you earn side is also very satisfying.
Don't take it for granted.
