My daily role includes working on a range of audits, typically i will be at a clients office auditing their balance sheet. I have responsibility for working in a team, liaising with clients and performing a range of numerical testing and analytical review.
I have obtained professional accountancy qualifications, i am currently 4/6 of the way through my CFAB exams and then plan to complete the remaining 9 modules of the ACA. I have internal training courses on how to audit specific entitites such as charities/ corporate clients / partnerships / higher education etc. I have learnt over the past year how to interact in a business environment and this is now second nature as i have to do this every day.
I do enjoy the programme i'm on however it is very pressured, having to complete a stressful full time job and also having to study and complete coursework for the apprenticeship. I enjoy the challenge that i have, and in fairness i do feel like im learning a lot all the time. I feel that the enjoyment is dependent on where i am working and with which people
I feel that as long as i work hard there wil be no issues with managers etc. Overall i think that there is no real personal connection with most managers, but this is because they are very busy. Having said this i do feel like an integral member of the team with significant responsibility
The programme is well structured on the whole with exams and internal as well as external training at the forefront of the programme. I feel that my learning provider BPP do complicate some tasks especially with coursework that we need to do for our apprenticeship. Asside from there not being much time to study the overall programme is robustly structured
The training provider is good at providing support with coursework and im sure they would provide su[pport with exams if i had any issues. I have had three contacts at BPP 2 have now left who were, less than organised. However i currently have a BPP contact who is approachable and well organised.
Main support from BDO comes from my counselling manager, she is very approachable and is happy to help in any situation, because of her i have had very few issues across my training contract
Good to all. Note i live at home, if i had to pay significant rent this would not be the case
Plenty of activities such as football, drinks etc.

You need to be very organised in terms of time.
