During the 1st year, my apprenticeship involved a lot of theory work to build my knowledge on certain topics. We also did a lot of practical work which helped to get to know what we'd be doing in the future. No 2 days are the same and its always something different.
I have learnt a lot of new hand skills to better myself in my future career.
I am enjoying the apprenticeship very much and gaining knowledge and experience everyday.
I feel like a valued member of staff as I am always been asked how I am doing and if I need any support etc.
It is well organised to the extent of I was given a full years timetable of day to day from day 1. Although this did change slighty, we were always told about this in good time.
A lot. They taught me all the knowledge necessary to pass my exams. They also helped during the practical phase.
Depending on how much is needed, help is always available in several different ways.
It meets my costs just. The salary is low but it is good for an apprentice. Obviously more is always better but its a good salary to earn while I'm learning at the same time.
Not a lot is given to us regarding opportunities outside of work but im sure there are.
Yes
Good, strong company to work for with loads of options to move around in different aspects of work.
Be confident and believe in yourself and you can do it.
