My role within Deloitte is a business analyst within the consulting sector. The role is varied dependent upon the project or internal work which is taking place. Such activities include website management, setting up SharePoint sites, providing business and technical ideas to benefit a project, receiving a company's high-level requirements, typing up the key deliverables which are required for the particular companies IT system. I have been working with colleagues in all different areas of the company from Analysts-Senior Partners and CIO's. My 1st project was a great experience as it gave me the opportunity to travel and develop a close relationship with the team in London.
I have developed a wide range of skills both from my university course and getting on the job experience. I have developed my team working and interpersonal skills since joining Deloitte's bright-start scheme. Through working with a large team both within work and university.
I have enjoyed my overall experience to date within the Bright Start Scheme. It has allowed me to develop my network and increase my skills. I enjoy the team's which I have been working with and the overall culture of the company. It was not what I was expecting regarding the area which I came into as I assumed it to be more business theory based than I.T. However this has helped me to see different area's within businesses and gives me a long career path to develop my skills throughout.
I have been respected by Deloitte since I have joined the scheme. Since day 1 there always has been someone to talk to if I had any issues or concerns. The feedback which I have received has also boosted my confidence and allow me to see areas which I should improve upon to develop my overall performance within Deloitte.
The Programme is well structured it can be intense at times but it is always rewarding for the work which you put in.
From University we have had good support throughout the 1st year. We are able to ask questions if we have problems with certain topic areas and this is one of the key ways of learning asking for support and guidance from the training providers.
I receive a high-level of support from my employer. As I have a buddy who I can ask any questions too and a manager if I have any concerns or queries regarding my progression or the course.
The salary is reasonable and meets costs. Also gives the opportunity to save for certain events.
Outside of work there is alot of Social activities which take place including social service line gatherings and seasonal events.

Be willing to take on a new role each day as change is key.
