Audit Associate - Working on client engagements to audit their financial statements to determine whether they present a true and fair picture of the company's performance during their financial year.
I have developed my communication skills and working with others. I have learnt to adapt to new environments on a daily/weekly basis. I have gained passes in two certificate level exams as part of the ACA qualification.
I enjoy meeting and working with a variety of people and the relationships I have built.
I do feel valued at Deloitte, however, hard work/ effort can be overlooked when the only focus is on completing work in time to be reviewed.
The programme is fairly organised, however, there is no plan in place if schedules need to be changed e.g. if exams/ study leave need to be changed.
Support for exams is offered via email and phone. Face-to-face tutoring is available if booked in advance and if holiday leave can be approved from my employer.
Support whilst working on client site is always available from the team members you work with. Due to the long hours worked, support with exams is minimal.
My salary doesn't reflect the hours I work. Travel costs are expensed as this is often a very large amount each month, due to the vast amount of commuting.
Social events are held once every few months.
