Logistics apprentice , i start work normally around 4.30 , 5.30 we go through all of the different sections in the warehouse and learn new roles from scanning stock to checking pallets. On every department you have responsibilities e.g at the moment i am in the chiller i come in then scan the stock i take the pallets into the chiller and then sometimes start picking or back stacking the pallets. There is always one person everyday on the reach truck that puts the stock away into the racking.
yes i have learnt alot of new skills from checking pallets , driving new trucks , taking team meetings and more about aldi in general.
yes i enjoy it , its hard work but that's just aldi. I like most of the staff i get to work alongside , i enjoy learning to drive new trucks and learn new things.
yes sometimes i feel valued when i'm doing the harder jobs but sometimes you don't get praised for what you have done
my induction was really good i enjoyed it , i have received plenty of training on different trucks and different day to day dutys. First 4 skills are a very good company and have helped me get through my first two nvq's they offer support when Nick comes in. The programme is well organised but needs more managerial jobs included.
Yes i receive abit of support but it would help if he came in more than once a month so that we could get the Nvq's finished before the apprentiship finishes
yes i receive good support from the management team if i need anything i just need to ask them and they will deal with it.
Yes i think its a very good wage for an apprentiship i live with my parents so the living cost is fine and i only live about 14 mile away so driving to work is no problem.
yes they are alot of benefits e.g gyms and different classes on discount outside of work.
Yes
very good company always progressing everyday , everyone within the company works very hard to make sure it achieves it's targets , pleasure to work for.
Be confident research about the company before you apply as that's some of the questions they ask. Say that your hardworking cause aldi is a very hardworking company with lots of targets to meet.
