My role involves performing generic audit work, sitting exams and working long hours.
Many new skills, CA qualification in progress
I did, but 5 years is about 4 years too long. I wouldn't encourage students seeking to become a CA to choose the school leaver route.
Poorly, low remuneration, very little appreciation
The worst. There was no exam structure when we started and we had to continue to push for a formal structure to put in place.
Early on lots, now I am more senior you are just generally left to get on with work with little support.
