Employment tax. I work in Deloitte's Global Employer Services ("GES") team. The work I do varies and I have experienced a large number of different areas within employment tax. For example compliance work (e.g. tax returns, payrolls). And advisory work (e.g. share schemes, remuneration packages).
Having immediate exposure to a working environment has allowed me to quickly develop and learn new skills.
Very. Feedback and acknowledgement of work carried out is highly valued in my team and Deloitte as a whole.
Although I was the first brightstart in my office I feel the programme has been very well run so far and the support is there if I have questions.
The training provider has been excellent so far.
As with the training provider, Deloitte are an excellent employer.
The salary package meets my costs but does not fully reflect the work Brightstarts do.
Yes. Opportunities are endless with Deloitte outside of work if you look for them.
Yes
As a school leaver, working for a firm as well respected as Deloitte, with exposure to big clients and endless opportunity it is not a job that can easily be turned down.
I would encourage anyone applying to the Deloitte Brightstart (school leaver) programme to show a real willingness to begin working and developing your career, as well as a keen interest in Deloitte as a firm and the work we do. Enthusiasm and personality are just as important as knowledge and technical ability.
