On a day to day basis I am responsible for assisting the audit seniors in a wide variety of roles along with communicating with a number of different clients, asking questions and gathering information
I feel that I have developed my confidence though working at BDO along with my speaking and interactive skills, as I consistently have to show these day in day out
I do enjoy the programme with regards to the work. However I feel hat the apprenticeship side is a tad boring and I'm not learning anything new from doing it.
I feel valued at BDO however we do not get enough recognition from senior managers when we have achieved something.
It is relatively well structured however I feel that the setting of a self taught exam at the same time as an assignment, was not well organised and put additional pressure on us when it was not necessary
We receive a lot of support from BPP however as stated previously, I think the timing of setting assignments and the content of the work needs to be reviewed
We receive a lot of support from our employer, this is shown by regular catchups regarding our BPP progress
My salary for the hours worked and the cost of living and travelling to Bristol is not enough, I don't think it's online with what wages should be in a city like Bristol.
There are limited opportunities outside of work. However regular social events are run
Yes
Because they are a good employer who looks after you well, and integrates the training contract into the work environment well.
To think if it is something you are really wanting to do as it is pressured and hard work, but is a place where you can develop quickly and enhance your personal skills.
