I work in assurance as an associate. I am required to find backing regarding the figures a client proposes. This involves testing invoices, watching controls and discussing operations with clients
Networking - ability to chat to new people and engage with them IT - more competent with excel
The work is challenging but the work environment is very supportive and colleagues are always willing to assist me as a new joiner
I feel like PwC I am valued and senior staff are conscious of my effort and progress
Training was a little rushed and short but most learning has taken place on the job. The support structure is emphasized although I'm yet to have used it
I haven't really used the support network much, but I am confident it is there should I need it
My people manager is very approachable and easy to contact when needed. I also have a buddy who can support me as well as previous graduates from my scheme
The salary is suitable although expenses can be tricky without access to a credit card
My office seems a little quiet but maybe it is due to busy season
