My role is an audit trainee - On a day to day basis I will work as part of an audit team, often at a client's site. I will work on completing various sections of the audit for a client.
I have definitely learnt many new and developed existing skills. I feel that although I am only 9 months through my apprenticeship I have already learn a great deal and my confidence has improved dramatically.
So far I have really enjoyed the programme, particularly meeting lots of new people.
I feel valued by my workplace, recognition is given to good work.
My programme is very well structured around work/my study and exams, to give me an appropriate amount of time for college tuition and studying.
BPP provide us with many resources to support our study. For example for each exam we are given study manual's, question bank's but also have a online resource where we can watch online lessons etc.
BDO are very understanding when it comes from exams/study and there is always someone I could talk to if there was a problem or I felt that my study was not going well.
The salary is fair and competitive considering we are school leavers.
BDO is fantastic socially and there are loads of opportunities to get involved with different things. For example I have just been to Amsterdam this weekend to play in the BDO European Football Tournament.
Yes
I would recommend BDO to a friend because of the people. I have enjoyed working with everyone I have worked with so far.
Make sure you research your chosen stream properly to make sure you have a good knowledge of what your role is likely to involve before your interview.
