my role on a day to day basis is to keep on top of the communication from my subcontracts and the relevant ones from the Client and to insure that these are addressed in the correct manor. This therefore requires me to talk to lots of people throughout the day face to face and by email.
I have developed my construction knowledge massively my just reading documents that have been coming through about our site while also developing my excel skills as this is a good way to check my math's once I have completed a task.
The team is great, I feel comfortable talking to everyone on the project. As well as the people onsite the people who run the cadet programme as all a great bunch and are all easy to approach.
I feel appreciated by my manager and the project director, which gives me confidence in my self as it must show that I have the correct drive to go far.
The programme had a get introduction where it talked about all the things that could help us settle in to the project. The log book is helping my structure my learning with my line manager on site.
The log book is a great help as it shows me where I need to works, also the cadet events help us get to the next stage and will help us progress with little bit of more knowledge.
My manager is helpful and has plans of where he wants me to be and go on the project while I am here. We are both normally in the office early in the morning and help gives me bit of guidance throughout the day.
I am at the stage where I would like to move out but my salary will not let me until another couple of years yet. But by this time I am unsure of what else I will have to pay out for at that time.
There is a football tournament to be held shortly of which I am a captain for. We also used to play football of a Thursday but that tailed off but there are talks of us starting it back up again.
Yes
This is a great company with a great programme that is well structured.
That his is a serious company. If you don't know the company go and learn it and find out about it, I got praised by one of the assessors for knowing the company during the assessment center and I think that helped me through as they could see that I way keen.
