From da to day, going to various sites and setting out different things such as columns that are going to be installed, as well as putting in any and checking survey control.
I have learnt lots of new skills and have gone on various courses that the company have run/paid for.
I really enjoy the programme, the team i work with are very helpful and fun, and the site I am mainly working on is interesting.
I feel very valued bY Laing O'Rouke, they fund us through university and pay a good salary, as well as offering us andy support or help we need.
The programme is very well organised, alloweing us to have a good balance between work and uni, as well as 'cadet modules' were everyone on the cadet programme meets up for a few days to develop business skills.
The only downside is that to do the Civil engineering course you have to go to London Southbank University as it is the only one that offers it part time. There is not much support from the uni or lecturers.
I recieve all the support that i need from my employer.
Good starting salary of £15000, as well as any travel expenses paid for.
There are very few company events or activities to get involved with, I would like to see more of these.
Yes
