Software engineer. Everyday is different working on projects with different durations as well as this i do online modules and have on campus days for my degree
Learnt a variety of skills such as JAVA, SQL and Python as well as new programs such as Clarabridge, Brandwatch, QlikView and many more
The program is great for anyone wanting to earn while they learn the rewards are endless
The apprentices are highly valued at the company they are the backbone of the day to day runnings
It is very well structured we know when our assignments are due and how long modules run for. As well as this we have many days off for our degree and we know exactly when they are. The course runs in 3 18 month segments.
You have tons of support as the course does not have many students compared to normal University courses so whilst attending University days the teaching feels more one to one rather than sitting in a huge lecture theatre with many students
Like I had already said the company gives you study leave as and when you need more than enough time for you to catch up on assignments if you are behind
The salary is probably one of the best points of the apprenticeship not only is my degree sponsors but I get a generous salary as well with pay reviews quite frequently
The company has many social events outside of work to get involved in as well as many volunteering opportunities
Yes
If the above hasn't justified why I would recommend the company also supply apprentices with a laptop, phone and Amex so all costs are covered through and through
Have a real passion to want to do the job experience isn't needed just raw interest in the field that you are applying to if that is shown you will do well no matter what
