I work in the Assurance sector of EY and mainly work on audits of clients. I work in the Wealth and Asset Management sector. On a day-to-day basis I perform testing procedures in order to audit different clients that I am booked on
I have developed several new skills and improved on previous ones. I have strong relationships with clients due to the development of my professional behaviour and my communication with the client. I have significantly developed my industry knowledge which helps whilst auditing different clients in different industries. My teamwork has become much stronger as being in professional services, the key driving component of a successful audit is having strong team relationships
I thoroughly enjoy my programme, there is never a dull day, always something new to learn and a new challenge to face
I feel very valued at EY. Regardless of the rankings we are all treated equally I'm never made to feel as if I'm less than anyone else.
My programme is very well organised, we are able to obtain good training and work experience after which we are given time off to study for exams. The exams are spread out well each year which gives us time to get ready for each of them
Before exams we are given study leave to go to college, although this isn't a long period of time the tutors are always available for extra support even when college is over
I received support all the time, we are all assigned counsellors who we go to for any problems/queries and we are also assigned a buddy who is a school leaver a year or two above us. Both of these forms of support has helped me settle into work well
My salary is sufficient especially whilst living in London
We have several networks and committees which we can join that enhances our development outside of work, I joined the EY Womens Network
Yes
EY has a very good work ethic, the people are friendly and inviting and the atmosphere is professional but there is always opportunities outside of work to enjoy. It provides a challenge which helps you developed immensely over the five years.
Be prepared to be challenged
