  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Maintenance Apprentice, completing task on aircraft, interactions with multiple levels in the MAI hierarchy, aircraft safety, tool tagging, operating inline with data modules and compliance.

  • I have developed skills further during the first year of my apprenticeship during the workshop modules and new skills have been obtained when taking part in the Forward Course.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The job and the team i work with are both excellent. It has exceeded my expectations.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by BAE Systems?
  • With concentration being on all apprentices to complete their training to a high standard, I feel very valued in the company.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Initially i found the programme very well organised but during the closing months it seemed to lose its way as some of us completed the work before others.

  • Anything we required.

  • I never required direct support but was assured it would be available should it be needed.

  • The salary is fantastic in comparison to other apprenticeships.

  • Many additional courses available.
