My role is a data analyst for a discovery team. I analyse data from third parties and then import it into a discovery database tool so that it becomes useful information
I have learnt a lot of new skills around how databases work. I also now know how to maintain a server and configure user accounts.
I enjoy it a lot as I get to learn from lots of different people bu sometimes that work can be repetitive
I feel fairly valued especially when producing work for the client
It is fairly well organised. I usually have regular meetings with my managers but sometimes this is not easy to arrange due to different work locations.
I receive a good amount of support. If I need extra support i can ask for it and many people are willing to help me.
I receive a good amount of support from my employer. If I need extra support I can ask for it and other employees are always very helpful, even if you do not directly know them.
It meets my costs well as I still live at home. If I were living away from how it would still be good depending on living location.
There are lots of opportunities outside of work such as doing giveback events which is helping out at colleges or schools and giving presentations and talks. There are also many training opportunities.
Yes
A lot of support and many different roles available. There are also a lot of benefits to working with a large company.
Always be confident and try to do a role that you enjoy. Organisation is key to managing your time as sometimes work can get very busy.
