I am a Commercial Apprentice, working in the Shared Service team within Fujitsu. This gives me great exposure to the whole business, as well as working with fellow commercial colleagues. My daily activities depend on the request that come in on the day, I may be involved in Obligation Extract, Contract Conformance, Support Small Value Bid Work and more administration services. Currently my colleague and I are in the process of taking over, commercially, small private accounts.
As well as my college work, I am learning the Shared Service services and the Fujitsu way we do business. As a person, I have improved my confidence, note taking, attention to detail and my time management and planning.
I love the work I do, however sometimes it is quiet. The team are great, I have made many friends, the office has a lively atmosphere. Office life is better than what I originally thought.
They value me as much as I expected, I have no problems with anyone regards to my 'Apprentice' title. I am recognised by many people in the Commercial community and they treat me well socially.
The start of the apprenticeship was poor due to the lack of a laptop and structure however since then it has come on leaps and bounds and I am comfortable with work and college.
See my tutor once a month, and he is always on the need of his email if I need him. Currently I am doing very well with my qualification.
I have my Manager, a Senior Commercial, and two Commercial managers who offer support all the time.
I have no problems with my salary.
Yes there are opportunities to Socialise with the younger members of the commercial community.
Yes
Because I have enjoyed my time here and am very happy with how it is going.
