  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • On a day to day basis I have a lot of tasks to complete such as stock rotation dealing with customers and collegues team work and cash handling It is my duty to keep the work place clean tidy and presentable an to help customers find products they are looking for. It is also our duty to work together as part of a team to help and make sure things are completed on the right time scale.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • With my time at aldi I have learned and gained a lot of new skills while bein there such as confidence as when I started I was quite quiet but now I am able to work on my own and part of a team. I have also gained good communication skills aswell as time keeping

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am enjoying the programme very very well. I have mate a lot of great out going people I feel that I could still be at aldi in years to come with me it giving it my all with everyone around to support me. Aldi is an amazing work place for any apprenticeship and I enjoy working there very much

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Aldi?
  • At aldi we feel very valued as young individuals seeking to learn new skills and qualifications. All staff are so helpful and understanding they help you and teach you to work to the best of your ability and you can always count on them to be there if you are ever stuck with anything. We feel valued because they look at everyone with the same perspective and not any differently from one another always getting praised for doing things well.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The aldi apprenticeship programme is well structured and organised even though at times it can be hard to keep up with tasks that are set out in store. As we all work part of a team they do do there best to have everything prganised to the best of there ability and do everything in there power to make it a work place in heaven

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • As apprentices we receive as much support as we need from our training provider they spend countless amount of time helping us with what we need to know going over all our books assessment papers and computer work. If we ever need anything out training provider is always there to help when we need anything

  • As apprentices we receive as much support as we need from our emploer they always spend countless amount of time helping us with what we need to know going over all our books assessment papers and computer work. If we ever need anything our store employer is always there to help when we need anything

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • At aldi our salary or package really does meet out costs. As we are only apprentices try are a very very generous company with what they pay to us young people as other company's you get a lot less than minimum wage. At aldi we find that the pay salary or package is incredible with a lot of flexible hours so you can pick and choose many extra hours you want to take

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • At aldi there are a lot more opportunities out side of work u have the choice that you can go and cover shifts at other stores to get to know how the other stores run to meet new people just to see what it's like to you and to help other team mates out. You also get the often works night out were yous all go for meals and dunks with everyone from work to celebrate our fantastic achievements and Christmas celebrations

  • Yes

  • I would recommend aldi to a friend and other members of the public because they are one of the most successful if not the most successful company worldwide that gives you an amazing expierence to grow and gain new skills with the most out goin and incredible people ever it's like being part of a family. Caring an all look out for one another it's also a fast moving process so which you will always be kept on your toes with something to do so you aren't sitting around bored wondering what to do next


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aldi?
  • Before applying for aldi the biggest tip I would give you is brace yourself go in with a smile tody clean and well motivated. Also I would say to do your research know facts about the company what awards they have had through the years where aldi was created how any stores they have and how many are planned to be built have a positive out going attitude and also have the skills you have to help you make your way through the process loyality is the key to be the best you can be
