I was part of a 2 day skills academy held in London. During this academy I was able to learn about the world of professional services and meet industry specialists to learn from their expertise. I was able to work in a team in order to create a presentation on what EY could do for a hypothetical hotel company.
I developed my team work skills. I also learnt how to professionally socialise with people. Through building the business proposal was able to immerse myself into the role of an employee at EY in the TAS.
The program itself was alright, slightly bland. I guess thats because through this program I found out professional services isn't for me! However staying overnight in London was very fun, as well as being in a professional environment and the end BBQ!
EY communicated with me a lot after the program, and always made me feel important. Sejal was a good contact to have, except she wasn't great at replying to emails for a bit...
The program was very well structured, with activities going seamlessly to the next. Very well organised!
On the program we had an advisor for our group guiding us through the tasks. He was so friendly and made us feel very welcome. He was great to quiz about EY.
We received a lot of help and guidance if we wanted to apply for a school leaver program with EY.
They covered travel costs, provided food and paid for an individual hotel room for a night for everyone.
There was a BBQ for socialising with the employees and new school leaver program students.
Yes
They will go out of your way to ensure you are cared for. They are the best at what they do.
Make sure you are enthusiastic! Keep calm for all of the interviews, as there is quite a difficult selection process!
