My role at the setting I am working at includes following the childrens routines, doing paper work e.g. headcount, register, accident forms, medicine forms etc. I also plan activities for children and aid in helping them progress in their development. Everyday we take the children to the garden at least twice a day, we feed them breakfast, lunch, tea and snacks, milk and do their nappies if they are in nappies. My responsibility is to care for the children and ensure they are in a safe environment.
I have learnt a lot from the apprenticeship, there have ben training on certain areas in my course that I had to be aware of, this helped me a lot with my practice. I have learnt a lot from my colleagues and manager, and I am still learning something new every day.
I enjoy the programme a lot, I am surrounded by a good team who always support and help me. The programme has been very good and I have learnt so much
I feel very valued and I am always being involved in tasks helping the nursery e.g. open day, being taught something new.
The programme is very organised, at the beginning of the course I had an induction at head office and at the nursery setting with my manager. I have been given 4 hours a week in the nursery to study, which has been very useful as I have been asking my colleagues for help if I struggle with any work.
My tutor always helps me with my work and helps solve any issues I am having with the work. very positive support, my tutor always asks if I need any help all the time.
My manager is very supportive, and has guided me through this journey, I am very appreciative and grateful for the support I have been getting. Management always help me if I need help and are always happy to help with any work.
My salary package does not matter to me as I am living at home. The location of the nursery is very close to my house, which is very convenient.
There are many opportunities at wok e.g. open day, day trips
Yes
Because its a great opportunity and you will learn so much from here and feel very valued from the team.
Make sure you are prepared for your interview and you know a lot of information about the nursery. If you apply ask lots of questions.
