To carry out routine maintenance, fault finding and emergancy repair work on national grids assets. Also carry out training in college and eakring to obtain the neccasary qualifications.
Ive learnt lots of new hand skills and pushed my acedemic knowlegde further through college.
I have prevousily carried out an apprenticeship before this one and i enjoy this apprenticeship alot more than I did the other one.
I feel like im respected and well looked after even though im a trainee and young.
Your given a timetable for the year but it changes most weeks so trying to keep up with whats going on can be difficult at times.
I receive as much i need when i have problmes i need help with. Everyone is very supportative.
While on site i can ask any question and speak to anyone and they will answer me honestly. They have included me and keep supporting me throughtout my time with them.
The pay is very good compared to other apprenticeships.
Ive been on engagement days with work where everyone on the patch gets together to build the team work with the patch. Been very enjoyable when ive been to them.

Im proud to work for a company like national grid and they look after you very well and push you through training to increase your knowlegde and skills.
Come prepared when applying, the process is tough but its 110 percent worth it.
