Daily tasks include sending emails to clients, working with clients. Work in audit so perform accountancy work on other clients businesses. Will involve picking up the phone to banks and the client. Generally work in teams so there is a lot of interaction with colleagues right up to partner level.
Main skill is gaining confidence in speaking to clients and important people. Written work and excel skills have really improved too as well as time keeping.
I enjoy working in teams as there is a lot of interaction. You are given a lot of ownership over the work you do. I spend a lot of time at clients offices speaking to them so this is always enjoyable.
I feel very valued in my job. You are given a lot of ownership over the work you do. You are also given a lot of praise when you perform in your job.
This would be the only down side. At times I thought the programme was slow paced, and not spread out evenly. However as this was the first year the programme was in place, this was bound to happen. The programme is now organised in a much more efficient way
We were given a lot of support throughout. We had meeting every month with someone from Kaplan.
We also had a lot of support from our line managers. They were trained appropriately to helped, and provided us with a lot of advice when required
We were paid more than our costs, with some excess income.
Yes, we have a lot of team socials with one every quarter. We also have quarterly department drinks as well as both summer and Christmas parties. We have an ok work/life balance where I am able to go home on time and social with non work friends or play sport. However more recently I have found that I am working longer hours making my life slightly more anti social
Yes
Because it is a fantastic place to work. Everyone I work with is great to work with.
